This is a sample of what the cards
from the mythic deck look like. As you can see, they are based upon Greek
Mythology and their pictures correspond to the Mythological Figures.
For example: The High Priestess is Persephone, The Magician is Hermes, The
Queen of Pentacles is Omphale, in the Ace of Cups we see Aphrodite, The Hanged
Man is Prometheus, and the snake-headed women are The Furies (not Medusa).
I love this deck because I have always been fascinated by Mythology, and
I, personally, find the pictures so expressive that I cannot help but perceive
copious amounts of language and meaning from them when they are placed in a
spread. The fact that they are not just cards that a book says means 'such and
such', but cards with a rich story intertwined with them just captivates me.
